Making Funny, Making Art. Mostly on a Stage. Often with Words.

Who I Am

b. 1986, HK.

Hello Friends! Let's make something together!

Non Kuramoto is a New York based Japanese actor, comedian, writer, and feminist-art-slut. She uses laughter and absurdity as tools to elevate voices of Asian women, experimenting with various art forms to find the funny in paranoia, identity crises, and depression. Non made her Off-Broadway debut in The Sex Myth: A Devised Play. Her play, The Fart Play (I'm Sad): A Dance, was produced at Nasty Women Unite Festival. You can listen to her tell jokes in a variety of bars and comedy clubs all around New York. At Northeastern University, where she recently received her BS in Theatre (haha), she co-founded the Northeastern Shakespeare Society and has designed and built costumes, sets, and worked with electrics. When not on or off-stage, she can be found covered in paint or capturing people with a camera.
